What Will the Assessment Experience Be Like For My Child?

  • My goal is to make the assessment a positive experience for children and their parents. Children generally enjoy the assessment as many of the activities are interesting and fun.  Children are provided with several breaks and receive stickers and other positive reinforcement as needed.  Children receive a prize following the assessment.
  • For younger children, the assessment generally lasts about 2-3 hours.  This time may be shorter for very young children (e.g., infants and toddlers).
  • For school age children, the assessment generally lasts 3-5 hours depending on age and ability. A lunch break is provided for older children.
  • You should bring a drink and snacks, along with some preferred toys/objects for younger children.
